I am so concerned about the insecurity in some states of the north east. I have been speaking with Mr. President on this issue. Mr. President shares same concerns and even more. And I have confidence in our military. Our military remains the best in Africa.
From interaction with senior military and security chiefs, all that needs to be done within our military capability are being done. Every sector of our military, that is the Army, Air Force and Navy are now being upgraded to meet new challenges.
The entire political leadership of the nation, irrespective of our political divide, needs to rally round our military. The entire citizens, especially the media, also need to rally round our military.
We need to keep hailing them to victory; even when our military is falling, we must never mock or ridicule them. We must defend their image, integrity and honour.
