LEADERSHIP: TREAT FIGHT WITH BOKO HARAM AS FULL-BLOWN WAR

In our opinion, the war against Boko Haram is no longer a small scale one. It is, indeed, a full-blown war and the federal government should treat it as such. 

The days of kid gloves are over and the terms of engagement should be redefined to reflect that. 

We urge the government to process a new strategy to work out modalities for total and swift victory against terrorism. 

The order of battle should reflect the combined weight of all the military arms, as well as the strategic and tactical support necessary to ensure victory. 

The sooner President Jonathan mobilises the military for this war the better.
